The one that I had for myself (a Panasonic) worked fine in their car and this one seemed to work in mine, so we swapped. I bought this for my parents to connect an MP3 player in their car. Don't waste your time. I've used this SONY one about 5 times and it's already broken. The first time they used it, it didn't work properly. It would only send the sound through half the speakers in their car.
But that isn't Sony's fault. I tried Monster, I tried Memorex, and the *ONLY* cassette adapter that I have ever purchased that ever sounded great (let alone good) and worked reliably is the Sony CPA-9C. Period.I've had them for several years now.The sound out of my new iPhone 3GS in my old BMW 528 is awesome.It works as-is with no mini-jack adapter in the 3G and 3GS but not in the original iPhone.My only complaint is that I can't use the iPhone 3GS voice control when the cassette adapter is plugged into the iPhone.
I would recommend it to all my friends. Works like a charm. No problems at all.
The noise stops. You may have to do this once in a while, but it works. This adapter has great sound quality.I bought 2 of these and they worked great the first couple weeks.Then they started making mechanical noise.I found a solution to the problem.Get a can of silicone lubricant spray.Insert the straw, and very carefully spray the silicone only in the two drive wheels in the middle of the cassette adapter, Try not to get it on anything else. I suggest covering the sound head with a napkin.
i have tried every brand, and this is the ONLY one that is flawless. crystal clear song. Quick, quick, quick shipping. Great product. works fantastic.
